Analytical

It should tell you a lot to know that I meal plan with Excel.  I like to have massive amounts of information, and I like that information to be well organized and easily accessible.  I’m told that this makes me analytical.

My responsibilities at Proxy Partners included evaluating a property (such as a resort, amusement park, event, or bike ride) to determine what sellable assets exist at that property.  Once I determined the list of assets, I was tasked with evaluating each asset and determining a fair market value taking into account accepted industry ranges for that asset, current market trends, and current sellability based on feedback from our sales team.  All of this information was then organized into an Excel spreadsheet and assembled into PackageBuilder to allow clients to easily and accurately create their own customized sponsorship packages.

The analytical side of my personality makes me well organized and well informed.  I like to be comfortable with the information I am responsible for on a day-to-day basis.  During my time at INK Publishing, I knew the rate cards for competitive magazines just as well as I knew my own rates.  In my experience, having that level of information easily accessible makes it much easier to make a strong case to a client for why my product or service is the best investment in the market.
